Just When You Thought it was Safe to Dig in the Garage

BACK YARD -- Thinking it would just be another day of tearing off siding, patching rotted wood spots, and tacking 3/4 inch polyiso foam to the side of the house was just a passing notion. Jude & Danika and a couple furry critters had a different idea.

A day after finding that we had a couple kittens born in our garage, Jude and Danika realize there's really three. Then, with Jude digging a bit, a fourth and soon after a fifth kitten is found. They all love to have them around but don't always care for them in the same way.

If there were someone born to be motherly Danika would fit that bill. Coddling the kittens and
keeping the other kids in line she has a eye on each of the kittens and how they're being taken care of.

Kade and Ellia are still a bit too younger to understand just how gentle to be but none the less, they are as giddy as you'd expect them to be over such cute little furry creatures.

Jude is certainly a protector but they don't hold his attention as they initially did.

This morning finds us back to just two kittens as the mother has found it best to move the others to a safer location. We'll keep looking but we do hope that all the kittens and their mom will be reunited soon.

Danika's hands are full but it doesn't seem to cause her much stress.

Bright faces reflecting the bright sun, Jude, Danika, Kade, & Ellia showing off their new found friends.
